Nevada County Extension Homemaker Clubs will be planning county fair activities or having a fun filled picnic, at their August meetings.

Club meeting dates are listed below. Visitors are welcome to attend as well as join the clubs. Contact the individual club presidents or the County Extension office at 887-2818 for more information.

The clubs, president's name and time and frequency of meeting are:

  • Bluff City, Marguerite Tomlin, president, second Tuesday at 7 p.m. at Bluff City Church of Christ;
  • Double 'C', Ann Loe, president, third Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. at Cale City Hall;
  • Fair Hills, Glenda Stuart, president, third Tuesday at 6:45 p.m. at Fairview Church;
  • Prescott, Geraldine Jefferson, last Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. at Extension office; and
  • Redland, Marie McNeely, first Tuesday at 1:30 p.m., Redland area.

Extension Homemaker Clubs developed from a need to improve the quality of life for themselves and their families. That need is still present today.
