We still have no rain in our community and very dangerous of fire.

Those visiting Billie Ridling this past weekend was her brother, Mike McClain, and family from Houston, Texas, Lana, David and son Dillion Jennings from Donaldson, Johnny Ridling from Hot Springs, Jim Swift from Waco, Texas, and her kids Terri Hillery, Rhonda Hillery and Kim Cottingham and their families.

Harvey and Ruth Barham from Duncanville, Texas, and their two granddaughters spent the weekend here.

Nell and Harvard McDaniel from Monroe, La., spent the weekend here with Frances and Jackie Bidwell, celebrating her mother Frances' birthday.

Most of you remember Beulah Cagle and the late Roy Cagle. Their daughter, Lola Faye, lost her husband, E.J. Rust, last week.

David Nix from Camden spent Thursday night with Kyle Pennington.

We are sorry to hear Mrs. Arlis 'Peggy' Loe had open heart surgery several weeks ago and is having problems. She is now back in ICU at St. Michael's Hospital.

Danny, Lisa, Kyle and Caley Pennington spent a week on Lake Greeson. Her parents, George and Joy Cox, visited them one day.

It's good to report Bill Ridling is home from the hospital doing really good. All his kids, Mike, Bill Jr., and Pat, have been faithful visitors. On Saturday Willie and Evelyn Hooks visited. His granddaughter, Cherrie, and Brandon Williams from Mississippi also visited.

If you worry over failures of yesterday and fret over problems of tomorrow, how can you be thankful for today?
