Homecoming will be held at New Salem A.M.E. Church Sunday, August 10. All families are asked to pay $20 for their share of upkeep of the cemetery. Elder Robert McCoy will bring the morning message. Rev. Bobby Box, pastor of Harrison Chapel Baptist Church in Waterloo, will bring the afternoon message. His choir and ushers will be on duty as well. Service starts at 2:30 p.m. Bring a friend. We need your support yo keep up the cemetery.

Oak Grove homecoming was held Sunday. It was a grand homecoming. Brother Harold Parker from Camden preached. He was a real good speaker. His subject was Theft by Deception, taken from Matthew chapter 8. I look forward to hearing him again.

Sunday afternoon was anniversary and homecoming hour. He really did put the icing on the cake. Rev. Moore, pastor Ceder Grove of Waldo, and his pianist and choir really did wake things up. We had an old time meeting. Revival started Monday night.

Our third quarterly conference was held at Cana A.M.E. Saturday night at 7:30. Elder Thomas Adair, presiding elder, held the quarter. Our pastor was not present. It makes it hard when the pastor is not there. There were five members from Bethel and six from Cana, a faithful few, and not any from New Salem. To get things done, we need to attend the meetings.
