Club NewsPublished Wednesday, August 12, 1998 in the Nevada County PicayuneRedland EHC The Redland Extension Homemakers Club met Thursday, August 4, in the beautiful home of Betty Cagle. There were nine members and one visitor present. All the members were happy to welcome Mary Gulley as a new member. The meeting was called to order by the president, Marie McNeely. Club Collect was read by Joy Cox. The thought for the day was by Evelyn Hooks with prayer by Billie Ridling. Roll call was answered by ways to use the microwave. There were many different things mentioned on how to use them. The county fair was discussed. All the members talked about the booth and decided on a title for it. Final discussions and final plans will be done at the next meeting. Delicious refreshments were served by Betty Cagle and Billie Ridling. The door prize was won by Betty Cagle. Ownership of all Nevada County Picayune content from the beginning of the newspaper, including predecessors, until May 2001 was contributed by the John and Betty Ragsdale family to the Prescott Community Freenet Association.
