We received 1.8 inches of rain during the week for which we are thankful.

Those visiting Doris Ridgell during the week were Herbie Ridgell, Paul and Robin Ridgell, Dodie Ridling, Meme Dickerson, Wanda Steven and Kay Wren.

Diane Blankenship of Ashdown came after her mother, Annie Mae Hooks, Saturday to spend the weekend and to attend the wedding shower of her grandson, Chad Blankenship, and Judy Lynn Bennette Saturday night.

Breana and Bobby Young of Hope spent a few days with their grandparents, Pete and Cathryn Jester.

Shorty Garner, Freddie Garner and Pat Loe visited Chloe Orren during the week.

Dee White and Pat and Drew Loe returned Saturday from a 10-day vacation to New York City and other points of interest.

I visited my sister, Katie Pittman, Thursday afternoon. Willie visited his sister and brother- in-law, Syble and Roy Brown. Margie Lucas was also a visitor in the Brown home.

The way people look for faults you'd think there was a reward for them.

Donna Surles and granddaughter Jessie Jones of Rogers, Colo., visited her mother, Mae Blount, Monday.

Kathleen Hooks and Richards Hubbard of Hot Springs visited her mother, Cathrine Hooks, Saturday.

Visitors of Roy and Syble Brown were Patricia and Sherl Young of Huntsville, Brian Shelton and Kelly Ashbrook of Baytown, Texas, and Olen and J.D. Kelley and Roy Lumas.
