Alcoholics Anonymous, a fellowship of men and women who wish to stop drinking, meets every Tuesday at 8:00 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church.

Al-Anon, for those affected by another's drinking, meets Thursday

evenings at 8:00 in the church. For more information call 887-5991.

A representative of the Texarkana Social Security office will be in Prescott in the Social Security room in the courthouse on Thursday, August 27 and September 24, from 9 a.m. until 12:00 noon.

Supplemental Security Income (SSI) pays monthly checks to people who are aged, disabled or blind and who do not own much or have much income. SSI is not just for adults. Monthly checks can be paid to disabled and blind children. To find out if you are eligible, call 1- 800-772-1213.

A Laneburg School reunion will be held October 10. Former interested students should write to: Laneburg School Reunion, General Delivery, Laneburg, AR 71844, or call 870-887- 3491.

The McNeely family reunion will be held Sunday, August 30, at the community center in Hope Park.

Doors will open at 10:00 and potluck will be at 1:00. Come and bring a covered dish and a friend. For more information call 777-4770 or 874-2305.

A Chamber of Commerce coffee will be hosted by the Artesian Arts League Thursday, August 20, from 9:30 to 11 a.m.

The coffee will be held at the chamber office.

At the coffee, you can learn about the exciting things they have planned for Nevada County.

PHS class of 1973 will have a 25th reunion organizational committee meeting Sunday, August 23, at the PHS agricultural building. All former classmates are encouraged to attend in order to plan the event.
