Neil's brother, Doyle Meeks, from Longview, Texas, spent all last week with us. Ollie Faye Skinner, her daughter, son-in-law and two grandchildren from Little Rock visited Donnie Rinkle last Wednesday. It was a real treat for Kyle Pennington to help weigh the fish at the Watermelon Festival bass tournament held Saturday at Millwood Lake. His dad, Danny, and other Tri-Country Bass Club members also helped. Betty Taylor Winters, daughter of Lucy Taylor and Jim Roberson, were recently united in married in Dallas, Texas. Her brother and sister-in-law, Harvey and Faye Taylor, Lou Ella Cobb, Susan Bailey and other family members attended a reception held at the Oakridge Country Club in Dallas last weekend. Virgil and Mildred Burke had a family get together at their home one day last week. The main purpose was to get acquainted with Anna Rose, baby daughter of Shawn and Alison Crane from Benton. Those attending were Gary and Sharon Crane of Texarkana, Roy and Betty Cagle, Donald Crane, Phyllis Hicks, Angie and Misty Jackson, Michael and Katrina Hicks, Amber and Adam Burke and Jorge and Debra Nassar, all from Prescott. Congratulations to Glendene Haynie upon the celebration of her 84th birthday. At the same time we extend our sympathy to the Haynie family over the loss of Glendene's granddaughter and daughter of her son, James.
