Golden OldiesDoris VancePublished Wednesday, August 19, 1998 in the Gurdon Times Last week was Nutrition Week at the Gurdon Senior Adult Center. The center members received insightful information and advice on how to cook for one person. A trip was taken to the Hot Springs Mall on Monday, August 17. The council meeting was held on Tuesday, August 18. There will be other activities scheduled for the remainder of August. The Kitchen Band will practice on August 26. On August 27, birthday honorees will enjoy a delicious cake donated by Piggly Wiggly. Gladys Sherman has been in the hospital. We wish her a speedy recovery. The center will have a booth at the Forest Festival this year. We will be taking donations on our quilt. The center will also hold a fish fry on Friday night of the Forest Festival.
