August 28-30 there will be a section one meeting and fifth Sunday singing of the Southwest District Baptist Association at Gennesaret Baptist Church of Arkadelphia. Rev. Charles Hood is the host pastor.

The 84th session of the Southwest District Association Singing Convention will convene with Harrison Chapel Baptist Church in Delight September 18 and 19. Dr. Kenneth Harris Jr., president, Rev. Rufus R. Hatley, host pastor, and Dr. C.K. Yarber, moderator. The theme will be Upholding Standards of Church Music for the 21st Century. The theme song will be Hold to God's Unchanging Hand.

Annual homecoming will be Sunday, September 27, at 2:30 p.m. at St. Clair Baptist Church in Burtsell. Rev. L.B. Beard, pastor. Special guests will include Rev. Rufus R. Hatley, speaker, and Pleasant Grove Baptist Church of Antoine, Harrison Chapel Baptist Church of Delight, First Baptist Church of Okolona, Shady Grove of Beirne, New Mount Zion of Gurdon, Macedonia of Boughton and Union Grove of Bluff City. Everyone is welcome.

Rev. Quintin Radford will be the speaker at Davis Memorial Church of God in Christ in Crossett Saturday, September 5, at 7:30 p.m.

St. Ruth Baptist Church in Gum Springs will hold its annual church anniversary Sunday, September 6, at 3:00 p.m. Everyone and all churches are welcome. Special guests will include New Mount Zion Baptist Church of Gurdon, Rev. Quintin Radford, pastor and speaker, Rev. Charlie Thomas, pastor.

First Sunday Night fellowship services will convene with First Memorial Church of God in Christ of Gurdon Sunday, September 6, at 6:30 p.m. Everyone is welcome. Elder Paul Williams is pastor. If there is a change it will be in next week's report.
