Sew With Cotton Contest

Clark County Farm Bureau Women's Committee and Clark County Cooperative Extension Service want to remind everyone about the Sew with Cotton (SWC) contest that is coming up soon.

Deadline to enter the county competition is October 16. Judging will be October 20 at 2:00 p.m. at the Extension Homemakers Club kitchen on the fairgrounds.

Contestant must win at county level before advancing to state competition.

Theis year a new category has been added called Special Category. Entrants in this category may be adults or youth who have made a garment or ensemble for someone else.

The garment or ensemble must be worn by the person for whom it was made at the county and state competition. Children too young to walk on their own may not model, thus no infant clothing may be entered.

The categories for Youth and Adult Divisions are (1)Cotton Dress; (2)Cotton Sportswear/Schoolwear; and (3) Cotton Suit.

The Women's Committee and Extension Service encourage all seamstresses to enter this exciting contest.
