Pageant Deadlines Nearing

Published Wednesday, August 26, 1998 in the Nevada County Picayune

The deadline for entering the 1998 Nevada County Pageant is fast approaching. August 29 is the last day to turn in entry form, entry fees, photogenic pictures, composites, program ads, money and pictures for ads.

You may go to the fairgrounds from 2 to 4 p.m. on August 29 to turn in everything.

If you would like to turn in your forms before then, contact Patsy Ledbetter at 887-3061 or Traci Ellis at 887-1057.

There will be a new twist to the Nevada County Fair pageants this year. In addition to there being pageants on three nights instead of two, there will be a program available featuring each contestant in all age categories and also each reigning queen and king.

If anyone, either individuals or a business, is interested in purchasing an ad for the program, contact Ledbetter or Ellis.

The pageant system is sponsoring a workshop Saturday, August 22, from 10 a.m. to 12 noon at the fairgrounds. This workshop will consist of help with interview, sportswear, evening gown and photogenic.

If you have any questions, you may call to attend the workshop to get your questions answered.

The workshop is free of charge and for anyone 1 year to 21 years of age.

You may also use this opportunity to turn in all things pertaining to entering the pageant.
