Chamber Sets Three Events

A retirement party will be held for retired city employee James "Pepper" Cole Thursday, Sept. 2.

The event will take place at the Prescott-Nevada County Chamber of Commerce, where Cole will be commended for his many years of service with the city.

Wednesday, Sept. 1, and Thursday, Sept. 2, Mary Godwin, executive director of the Chamber, will be going back to school. Only this time Godwin will be handing out honor cards to those students in Prescott High School and Prescott Middle School, who maintained an A or B average and had good citizenship grades for the last semester of the 1998-99 school year.

She will visit PHS at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, hitting PMS at 9:30 a.m. Thursday.

A community coffee will be held Thursday, Sept. 9, from 9:30-11 a.m. at the St. Michael Community Room. This coffee will kick off the annual health fair, which is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 11 at the First Baptist Church.
