BoughtonMrs. Willie HooksPublished Wednesday, September 2, 1998 in the Nevada County Picayune Everett and Mary Orren visited Everett's uncle last week. They visited Kirby Orren and his wife, Rita, of Napoleonville, La. Kirby accompanied them to visit Durward Orren and wife Elaine of Waveland, Miss. Durward is still very ill. In route home, Everett and Mary visited L.V. and Barbara Norris of West Monroe, La. L.V. is still not doing well physically. Mrs. Nona Hignight is in Hope Haven Nursing Home at Hope. She is selling her home. Billy and Diane Blankenship and Chad and Jodie Blankenship spent Friday night with Annie Mae Hooks. Hazel Jones also visited Annie Mae during the week. Sue Austin spent the week with her sister and brother-in-law, Peggy Roper and Marshall Roper, of Fort Worth, Texas. Elsie Elmore spent the week with Sue's mother, Katie Pittman. I visited with Elsie and Katie Wednesday afternoon. Terrell and Olgia Ingersoll visited Katie Pittman and Sue Austin recently. Bro. Danny Miller preached at Boughton Church Sunday and plans to be with them next Sunday, September 6. Bussy Lee, J.D. Kelly, Margie Lucas and Willie Hooks are frequent visitors of Roy and Syble Brown. We may not know what the future holds, but we can trust the One who holds the future. The annual Bill, Ben and Dave Wicker family reunion will be Sunday, September 13, at the Prescott Housing Authority building, 401 Hale Ave. Friends and relatives are invited. Potluck will be at the noon hour. We are sorry Mary Butcher had to go to the hospital. She is a patient in St. Michael Health Center in Texarkana.
