Follies A Huge SuccessPublished Wednesday, September 2, 1998 in the Nevada County PicayuneThe newly formed Artesian Arts League's first fund-raiser, the 'Fifties Follies and Sidewalk Caf' was a rousing success. The lineup of local talent performed to a sellout crowd who dined on hamburgers in a fifties style alfresco setting. Chad Cornelius acted as emcee, as well as auctioneer for several items, including a collection of fifties memorabilia. Money from the fund-raiser will be used to complete renovations to the auditorium, which is located above Prescott City Hall. The league plans to have a Christmas play and hopes renovations are complete at that time. Anyone interested in any area of the arts and would like to be a part of this exciting new venture should call Judy Duke at 887-5506 or Melba Morman at 887-3739.
