Rev. Gentry To Be HonoredPublished Wednesday, September 2, 1998 in the Nevada County PicayuneA celebration day honoring pastor Rev. Dale Gentry for his 71 years in the ministry will be observed on September 6 at Star City Presbyterian Church with Newton Chapel Cumberland Presbyterian Church as co-host. The celebration will begin at 10 a.m. with Rev. Mike Qualls, pastor of Friends of His Cumberland Presbyterian Church at Sherwood preaching at the 11:00 a.m. worship service, followed by lunch at 12. Fellowship and singing will follow lunch. Rev. Gentry preached his first sermon September 17, 1927, at Serepta Camp Shed in Nevada County.
