Boys To Men Coalition Sponsors Video Night

Published Wednesday, September 2, 1998 in the Nevada County Picayune

Boys To Men Coalition of Prescott sponsored video night at the family and consumer science building at Prescott High School August 14.

Two videos were shown: 'A Place Called Prison' and 'Boys, Girls and Drugs'. The parents/guardians and youths felt that the videos were very informative and educational. The videos displayed real life and are very much needed in the community, one parent stated.

Thirty-seven persons were in attendance, including 27 youth ages 8-17 and 10 adults and supporters.

The coalition has decided to schedule one video/film per month for the next nine months. The group is planning several other interesting things for the young men and women.

The coalition asks the parents, guardians and community to support these activities. The next video night will be September 15 at 6:30, with the location to be announced.

Boys To Men Coalition is a non-profit organization, established to help at-risk young men to avoid the use of drugs, alcohol, tobacco and gang violence, and to assist them in becoming productive citizen in society.
