Published Wednesday, September 9, 1998 in the Gurdon Times

Clark County Youth Development Center (CCYDC) is now accepting applications for the recreation program for children age five to 12.

The program will be held Monday through Friday from 3:15 to 5:15 p.m. daily.

The program is made possible through a grant in partnership with Family Success Project for parents that are working or enrolled in school.

Children meeting the required guidelines are eligible to participate in the program.

The program will serve as a day care program. Adult supervision will be provided each day. The children will participate in activities, such as games, exercise, arts and crafts and field trips.

Tutoring classes will also be provided with emphasis on reading, math and language arts. Snacks will be provided for children enrolled in the program.

All parents who would like their child to participate in the program must fill out an application form at the center. Eligibility guidelines based on income must be met before the child can participate in the program.

Deadline for the applications to participate in the program is September 14.

For more information, call 353-6145 or write CCYDC, 810 South Fifth, Gurdon, AR 71743.
