Church Women MeetPublished Wednesday, September 9, 1998 in the Gurdon TimesWomen of the Church of God met Monday, August 24, in the home of Shirley Smithpeters for the annual prayer retreat. The group discussed ways to make worship more meaningful. They were reminded of the freedom everyone has in American to worship the Lord anywhere, at anytime, and concluded all should be thankful for the privilege. Sunday and Wednesday worship shouldn't be viewed as another responsibility, they determined. All should be in prayerful mediation prior to these services and allow God to shower his blessings.
