Coaches, parents and all who are interested are welcome. The Forthman family reunion will be held Saturday, September 12, from 10:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. at the Arlie Moore pavilion at DeGray Lake. All relatives and friends are invited. Saturday, September 12, there will be an Arkansas Game and Fish Hunters Education course offered at the Gurdon High School Student Center from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Students should bring two No. 2 pencils. The Clark County chapter of the Arkansas State Employees Association (ASEA) will meet on Thursday, September 3, at 5:00 p.m. at the Clark County Health Unit in Arkadelphia. Members will discuss the recent ASEA annual convention, the career ladder incentive program and state employees health insurance program. All state employees in Clark County are invited to attend. Gurdon Adult Education classes are open. Classes meet Monday through Thursday from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Night classes meet on Mondays and Tuesdays from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Classes are free. Arkansas Rehabilitation Services will be in Gurdon on September 10 at the Gurdon Municipal Building 8:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m./1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. and at the Gurdon High School from 9:15 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Alcoholics Anonymous meets on Wednesdays and Sundays at 8:00 p.m. at the American Legion building, Highway 67 North, one mile out of Gurdon.
