4-H Seeks New MembersPublished Wednesday, September 9, 1998 in the Nevada County PicayuneYouth between the ages of five and 19 are invited to join 4-H in Nevada County. There is no charge to join 4-H. There are three divisions within the 4-H organization: Cloverbud offered to ages 5 to 8 years old; Junior Division for ages 9 to 13; and, Senior Division for those 14 to 19 years of age. 4-H offers a broad range of activities and educational programs as well as speciality programs, such as environmental education, entomology, consumer education, personal, foods and nutrition, health, child development, clothing, fashion, public speaking, livestock, horse, swine and many more. Articles dated December 1981 through May 2001 were contributed by Ragsdale Printing Company, Inc. Articles June 2001 to ? were contributed by Better Built Group, Inc. Articles ? to October 2008 were contributed by GateHouse Media. Ownership of all Nevada County Picayune content from the beginning of the newspaper, including predecessors, until May 2001 was contributed by the John and Betty Ragsdale family to the Prescott Community Freenet Association.
