4-H Seeks New Members

Youth between the ages of five and 19 are invited to join 4-H in Nevada County. There is no charge to join 4-H.

There are three divisions within the 4-H organization: Cloverbud offered to ages 5 to 8 years old; Junior Division for ages 9 to 13; and, Senior Division for those 14 to 19 years of age.

4-H offers a broad range of activities and educational programs as well as speciality programs, such as environmental education, entomology, consumer education, personal, foods and nutrition, health, child development, clothing, fashion, public speaking, livestock, horse, swine and many more.

The 4-H in Nevada County includes the Corral Horse Club and the Caney Creek Agri Club.

Ownership of all Nevada County Picayune content from the beginning of the newspaper, including predecessors, until May 2001 was contributed by the John and Betty Ragsdale family to the Prescott Community Freenet Association.
