Oak Grove Gets Grant

Gov. Mike Huckabee announced that the Arkansas Historic Preservation Program, an agency of the Department of Arkansas Heritage, has awarded $709,432 in grants to rehabilitate historic structures and expand education in Arkansas history and historic preservation.

The Oak Grove Civic League received a $10,000 Historic Preservation Restoration Grant for restoration work at the 1935 Wortham Gymnasium on Highway 200 in Oak Grove, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
