Alcoholics Anonymous, a fellowship of men and women who wish to stop drinking, meets every Tuesday at 8:00 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church.

Al-Anon, for those affected by another's drinking, meets Thursday

evenings at 8:00 in the church. For more information call 887-5991.

A representative of the Texarkana Social Security office will be in Prescott in the Social Security room in the courthouse on Thursday, September 24, from 9 a.m. until 12:00 noon.

Supplemental Security Income (SSI) pays monthly checks to people who are aged, disabled or blind and who do not own much or have much income. SSI is not just for adults. Monthly checks can be paid to disabled and blind children. To find out if you are eligible, call 1- 800-772-1213.

Moms-In-Touch prayer group will meet every Tuesday at 9:00 a.m. beginning September 8. Any mother interested in meeting to pray for one hour for children and school, call 887-6376 for additional information.

The annual Wicker reunion will be held Sunday, September 13, in the Prescott Housing Authority community room. Potluck at lunch.

First Baptist Church of Emmet has set Sunday, September 13, to celebrate its 125th anniversary with special morning worship beginning at 10 a.m.

There will be a guest speaker for the morning worship. Special music will be by the Ouachita Baptist University quartet.

At noon a potluck dinner will be served at the Emmet Chuck Wagon. At 1:30 the church will begin an afternoon of worship in song.

Pastor Richard Brown invites everyone to attend.

The health alliance will sponsor the monthly Chamber of Commerce coffee Thursday, September 10, at St. Michael Health Care Center community room from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Everyone is invited.

The 26th annual Burns Park Arts and Crafts Fair coordinated by Arkansas League of Artists will be Saturday, September 26, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday, September 27, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The Arkansas League of Artists proceeds promote art education including youth scholarships.

The fair will feature original art works, demonstrations, original craft items and food concessions. Parking and admission is free.

Blevins Public School's annual report to the public will be held Monday, September 14, in the school cafeteria at 7 p.m.

The regular school board meeting will follow afterwards. The public is invited to attend.

The Nevada County Board of Education will meet Tuesday, September 15, at 7 p.m.

The meeting will be held in the Department of Education office of the Nevada County Courthouse.

The Emmet School board will have its regular monthly meeting Monday, September 14, in room 4, following the report to the public will begin at 7 p.m. in the Ross Gym.

The agenda will include elementary and high school principals' reports, superintendent's report, appointing textbook adoption committee and personnel matters.

Parents of boys in grades 1-5, don't let your son miss all the action and adventure. Take your son to join the world of Cub Scouting on Thursday, September 10, at 7 p.m. in the Emmet School cafeteria and Prescott Elementary school cafeteria.
