First of all I want to say we got that much needed rain. Now I'm looking forward to putting my electric blanket on.

Lisa, Danny, Kyle and Caley Pennington spent Labor Day with her parents, George and Joy Cox. George and Joy Cox visited his brother, Charlie Cox, in Ashdown on Thursday.

Glendene Haynie recently spent a week with her sister, Hazel Powell, in Little Rock.

Doyle Meeks from Longview, Texas, and Lou Ann Schmitt from Houston visited Neil and me on Saturday.

Faye Zumwalt spent last week with her son, Wayne, and his family in Bentonville.

Harvey and Faye Taylor spent Labor Day with her sisters and other family members at their cabin in Chidester.

Louie McKissack from Little Rock visited Neil and me on Wednesday.

Congratulations to Darren and Kristi Neal, who have been blessed with a beautiful baby daughter born on Saturday, September 12. She has been named Emily Elizabeth and weighed in at six pounds and seven ounces. Her daddy grins and says she's just like me and I had to tell him he's never looked half as pretty as she is.

About 30 youth and adults from Shady Grove Baptist Church enjoyed potluck on Sunday and then enjoyed bowling at Arkadelphia.

Cathy and Beau Straley from Dallas spent Labor Day weekend with her parents, Pershing and Mary Cox, and also helped them celebrate their 56th wedding anniversary.

Jerry, Rhonda, Justin and Cole Hillery attended the Arkansas State Horse Show in Little Rock last weekend.

Paul, Kim, Trent and Katy Cox had as their guest on Labor Day, Bro. Mike, Pam and Kristina Taylor and Clark, Myla, Darby and Garrett Crelin.

Billie Ridling recently went to Donaldson to help her great grand baby, Dillion Jennings, celebrate his first birthday party. Other attending were Terri and Megan Vandiver and Bron and Stan Koger.
