Forest Festival Pageant Oct. 24Published Wednesday, September 16, 1998 in the Gurdon TimesThe 16th annual Forest Festival pageant date has been set for Saturday, October 24, at the old Gurdon High School auditorium on Third Street. All young ladies between the ages of three and 18 years of age and who reside in Clark County will be eligible to compete. Categories for competition will be Tiny Miss, ages 3-5; Little Miss, ages 6-8; Princess, ages 9-12; and Queen, ages 13-18. The only dress requirement will be for the queen's division. These participants must wear full length evening gowns. There will be a change in photogenic judging this year. All photographs turned in will be judged. Those entering need to remember that recent professional photographs will be better judged than just a snap shot. Girls interested in competing may pick up application forms at Billy's Florist in Gurdon. Entry fees will be $35. The Gurdon CD&E Club sponsors this pageant.
