Helping Hands EHCPublished Wednesday, September 23, 1998 in the Nevada County PicayuneThe Bluff City Helping Hands Extension Homemakers Club met September 10 at the Church of Christ for its regular meeting. There were nine members present. The meeting was called to order by Marguerite Tomlin, president. Roll call was given by Laverne Green, secretary, with members present answering the question, "What was your first day of school like?"' All the members felt like it was a new world. The members worked on their yearbook for the coming year. It looks like the coming year is going to be interesting. All club members should take a good look at all the informative programs. Members were asked to work at the fair, and a committee agreed to meet September 14 to work on the fair booth. The door prize was won by Ruth Sullivan. Ownership of all Nevada County Picayune content from the beginning of the newspaper, including predecessors, until May 2001 was contributed by the John and Betty Ragsdale family to the Prescott Community Freenet Association.
