Scott Is SWOSU QueenPublished Wednesday, October 13, 1999 in the Gurdon TimesGinamarie Scott was crowned Southwestern Oklahoma State University (SWOSU) homecoming queen by a vote of the student body in Weatherford, Okla., Friday, October 1, during the homecoming assembly. She was featured in the homecoming parade Saturday morning, October 2, and reigned over the SWOSU vs. Ouachita Baptist University game later that day. Scott is the daughter of Dr. Rodney Scott of Weatherford, Okla., and granddaughter of the late Cecil and Evelyn Scott of Gurdon. She is the great-niece of Ross Carter of Gurdon. She is a senior psychology major, the recipient of the University Scholar Fellowship and the SWOSU 1998 Top Debater Award. Scott maintains a 4.0 grade point average, and she is listed on the president's honor roll. Scott plans to attend graduate school and pursue a degree in industrial organizational psychology.
