John Samuel CrankPublished Wednesday, September 23, 1998 in the Nevada County PicayuneJohn Samuel Crank, 71, of Longview, Texas, died Friday, September 18, 1998, in a Longview hospital. Mr. Crank was born September 22, 1926, in Rosston. He was a retired testman at Lone Star Steel Company. He was member of the First United Methodist Church. He was a master trader, and was truly a people person and he will be missed by all who knew him. Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Sue Crank of Longview; three sons and daughters- in-law, John Clyde and Grace Anne Crank, Terry Sutton and Cathy Crank and Robert Stuart Crank all of Longview; four grandchildren; and a sister, Helen Stuart of Longview. Funeral services were Monday, September 21, with Rev. Jim Welch and Deacon William Bridwell officiating. Burial was in Memory Park Cemetery in Longview under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview. In lieu of flowers the family requests contributions be made to a favorite charity.
