We have really been blessed with the rain and every drop was badly needed here in Rosston.

Bro. Petie brought a very inspiring message this morning and we were blessed with two additions by letter. Our new neighbors, Joey and Ellen Wallace, who are buying the Ricky Butler house, united with our church. We are happy to have them as they are both good workers with young people. They sang in the chair today.

Sympathy to the Junior Adams family. He passed away this week. The funeral was Sunday at Union Church. Bro. Jerry Evans of Taylor officiated. He is Bro. James Adams and Connie Biddle's father.

Roscoe and I spent Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday on Lake Wright Patman near Texarkana. On Tuesday night we helped Brenda Vandever celebrate her birthday with a steak supper at the new Texas Road House. Brenda's son, Marty Williams and wife Raegan, and her daughter Ginger McKinnon and husband and son Brandon and Tyler were all there. Brenda's husband, Carl Vandever, went to school in Dallas all week and she spent the week with her children, Marty and Ginger, of Texarkana.

Whites Chapel was blessed today with one new member by letter, Laurence Bailey.

Roscoe's half-sister, Linda Chambers, has been in the Camden Hospital all week. We visited her on Saturday afternoon and then had supper with Bill and Pat Lusby at Woods Fish House.

Ellen Wallace entertained several ladies with a 'Childs Discovery Toys' party on Saturday afternoon.

A.B. and Maxine Luck spent the week at Cowhide Cove on Lake Greeson near Murfreesboro. They got to try out their new camper and report lots of rain up there.

The Claudie Whites' friend, Darlene Caswell, of Houston, Texas, has had three surgeries recently. She had bladder surgery, surgery on her shoulder and now she has fallen and broken four bones in her ankle. Please remember her and Jim in your prayers.

Bro. Petie and the Men of Calvary rendered music at the Ouachita County Fair last Friday night and will perform at the Tate Barn Craft Show in Camden this coming Saturday at 10 a.m.

Bonnie Langston had surgery in Little Rock this week, but is home now. She will have to wear her braces for six weeks.

Rosston will be in revival October 14-16 at 7 p.m. Bro. Neil Ridling will be the evangelist. I will write more about this later.

Walton Bailey of Rosston visited Roscoe and me one day last week. He also visited with Jim Mona and Sue Dixon.
