Margie Reed, Charlotte Smith, Grace Ann Riley of Delight and I just returned from an 11- day trip with Francis Custom Tours of Arkadelphia. We traveled through eight states in the southwest, stopping at places of interest along the way. Our tour guides were Jerry and Mary Francis. Our bus driver was Terrel Calhoun, who grew up in Laneburg. We were glad to see him again.

This week will be a busy week as the county fair will be on going. Last weekend was also busy with fairs in adjourning counties. Ann Loe and I went to Ouachita County and Howard County as part of a judging team from Nevada County.

Janet, Jim and Randy Hammond visited her mother, Rita, and Wallace McBride Saturday.

J.W. and Maxine Glass, Lucy Glass, Gerald and Mary Overton, Junior and Johnny Glass of Texarkana, and Steve, Deb and Cody Jackson had supper at the Country Korner Friday evening.

Tessa and Lacy Webb were house guests of a friend in Hope Saturday night.

Don't forget singing Thursday at 7 p.m. at Morris Baptist Church.

Pam Cleveland and her family, Pat McCullough and her family, Bro. Tal and Krista and Tracy Bennet had lunch with J.W. and Maxine Glass Sunday.

Tracy Bennett and Marsha Nowlin visited his mother, Liz Nunn, of Hope Friday evening.

Sarah Jobe was house guest of her Aunt Pat McCullough and Leah and Tim Friday.

Our friends, Bonnie Barham and Vada Mathis, of Cale are both in the hospital. Vada fell and broke a bone and Bonnie is seriously ill. We wish them both well.

Get well wishes to Chuck Hicks.

Bro. Junior and Ann Loe attended homecoming services at New Home Sunday. Bro. Junior brought the morning message.

J.W., Maxine, Lucy Glass, Mary and Gerald Overton visited Dale and Ethel Ellis Saturday evening. It was Ethel's birthday, so they celebrated with a domino game.

J.W., Tommy Glass, James Overton and Roger Glass visited Lucy Glass Saturday. They're cleaning up ground for a house Lucy is having moved in.

Johnny and Hulene Shewbirt celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary at the home of her grandchildren, Heather and Cannon Callicott, Saturday. Tables and chairs were set up in the shady back yard, where they served about 50 friends and relatives. They were entertained with gospel music by Heather, Tim Shewbirt, Rodney and Billy Chris Langston.
