All interested individuals are urged to attend. The City of Gurdon has an animal control ordinance in effect. Anyone who has a pet they have not seen in a few days should check the bulletin board at City Hall. All animals picked up are held five days before being put to death. Revival services are to be held at Oak Grove Community Church October 4 -10 with Rev. and Mrs. Joe Sullivan from Loco, Okla. Everyone is invited. Sunday night service begin at 6:00. Monday through Saturday services begin at 7:00 p.m. Friday night, October 2, there will be music and barbecue at the Maryetta Foxpen. Ouachita River Bottom Boys will be performing. Allen's Barbecue will be serving the meal. An area tent revival continues at Curtis Junction through September October 2. Services begin at 7:00 p.m. each evening. Everyone is invited to attend. Diamond Valley Chapter of the American Red Cross is holding an adult and child CPR class on October 6 and 7 for anyone who is interested in learning CPR. The time is from 6:00 to 10:00 each night at Diamond Valley Chapter office, 636 Main Street, Arkadelphia. The cost is $20 per person. Registration deadline is October 2. Classes meet Monday through Thursday from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Night classes meet on Mondays and Tuesdays from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Classes are free. Call 870-353-4555 for more information. Alcoholics Anonymous meets on Wednesdays and Sundays at 8:00 p.m. at the American Legion building, Highway 67 North, one mile out of Gurdon. For information, phone 353-6138.
