PHS Cheerleaders Ranked HighPublished Wednesday, October 7, 1998 in the Nevada County PicayunePrescott High School cheerleaders were named as one of the top 1,000 cheerleading programs in America by the National Cheerleaders Association (NCA). NCA is recognizing teams who show superior athletic skill, and who also represent cheerleading's core principles of leadership, values and teamwork. "We are privileged to be able to recognize teams for such outstanding achievements," Andy McNeill, senior vice president for NCA, said. "It is our goal to honor teams who are the most well rounded programs in the nation." NCA currently administers 1,300 summer camps worldwide, as well as the largest championship system in the country with over 120 regional events, nine national events in the U.S.A. and two national championships outside the U.S.A.
