Nellie Mae RusseyPublished Wednesday, October 13, 1999 in the Gurdon TimesNellie Mae Russe, 70, of Gurdon died Sunday, October 3, 1999, at her home. Mrs. Russe was born January17, 1929 in Graysonia, the daughter of the late Waymon and Mable Hunter. She was a retired employee of the Levi Strauss Co. Mrs Russe was a member of Mount Canaan Baptist Church of Gurdon. Survivors include one son, Roy Terry Lyons of Little Rock; one daughter, Mable Ann Henry of Gurdon; two brothers, Willie Lawrence Hunter and Carl Edward Hunter of Gurdon; three sisters, Minnie Bell Lyons of San Francisco, Calif., Joe Mae Jackson of Stockton, Calif., and Lillie Mae McLilly of Upland, Calif.; and two grandchildren. Funeral services were Saturday at Mount Canaan Baptist Church in Gurdon with Rev. Johnnie Harris officiating.
