4-H Club FormedPublished Wednesday, October 7, 1998 in the Nevada County PicayuneThe Nevada Explorers 4-H Club was formed September 28 as 13 young people and 6 adults met in the Agri Building at Nevada School. The purpose, programs and activities of 4-H were discussed. The new 4-H members discussed what projects and activities they were interested in doing. The responsibilities of club officers were explained. The club plans to elect officers at the next meeting on October 20. Ownership of all Nevada County Picayune content from the beginning of the newspaper, including predecessors, until May 2001 was contributed by the John and Betty Ragsdale family to the Prescott Community Freenet Association.
