Sydney Almeta Pittman

Sydney Almeta 'Mrs. Meta' Pittman, 84, of Prescott died Saturday, October 3, 1998, at her home.

Mrs. Pittman was born November 29, 1913, in Prescott to Bob McLelland and Julia Mae Stivers McLelland McCain. She was a homemaker and retired after 20 years from Harvey's Quik Sak. Mrs. Meta was a member of First Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fay Pittman, and one son, Arden Ray Pittman.

Survivors include one daughter, and son-in-law, Sydney and Delbert DuCharme of Prescott; one brother, Johnny McLelland of Prescott; one sister, Mary Ethel Harris of Prescott; two grandchildren, Kyla Chambless and husband Mike of Prescott and Connie Cox and husband Mike of Camden; and four great grandchildren, Emily and Lauren Byrd of Prescott and Peggy and Toni Cox of Camden.

Funeral services were Monday, October 5, at Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home Chapel in Prescott with Rev. Jerry Westmoreland officiating. Burial was in DeAnn Cemetery in Prescott under the direction of Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home of Prescott.
