Classy MomentsPublished Wednesday, October 13, 1999 in the Gurdon TimesThe teachers at Cabe Middle School are enjoying a new digital camera for their school. It is amazing how far we have come since the days that you had to roll the film after each picture and add a bulky flash unit if you planned to take pictures inside a building (probably you would not know about those times). We are proud of the new camera and can see many advantages it will provide for all at CMS. Although the junior high football team lost to Fordyce, they played a good game. It just has to be difficult to play in the rain on a slippery field. We are proud of you and the hard work you put into preparation for the games. We enjoyed a visitor Wednesday. Marianne Roe spent the day with us. A pot luck luncheon was enjoyed as the talking' was going on (need I say more?). It was really nice to hear about her new school and her classes. Well, just ask any of the seventh graders about the counties in Arkansas and you might be surprised, as they know the location and the spelling of each. Now, it must be said, you might catch them off guard and they might misspell one or two, but they have worked hard learning all 75 and a certain social studies teacher is very proud of them. Those eighth graders have completed their editorial cartoon notebooks and just hope that they will not have to do that again. There were those who put forth that extra effort in their work of which they saw the results in their grade. Learning about current events through editorial cartoons has been most interesting. The Junior Beta Club has available Go-Devil tee shirts that you might want to consider for gifts. The adult short sleeves are $12 and the adult long sleeves are $18, youth short sleeves are $10 and youth long sleeves are $16. These are ready to be purchased from the Beta Club. You can call CMS at 353-4311 and ask for Linda Bullard or Cena Clark. Hopefully you are having a wonderful week and just remember that we appreciate you support as we make those Classy Moments at CMS.
