There is sure not much going on in our community this week.

About 20 from Shady Grove Baptist Church attended the musical passion play, The Witness, in Hot Springs on Saturday night.

Todd Taylor had lunch with Neil and me on Sunday.

Harvey and Faye Taylor are spending a few days in Shreveport, La., with her sister who is having back surgery.

Bob and Pal Whitmarsh from Hope visited George and Joy Cox on Thursday and also carried flowers to the graves of her parents, Grady and Willie Cox, and his parents, Burrel and Bessie Whitmarsh.

David, Lonna and Dillion Jenning from Donaldson and Jimmy Ridling from Hot Springs had Saturday night supper with Billie Ridling. Peggy and Al Butrick from Summit, Miss., are also spending several days with Billie.

Dillion Ridling spent Friday night with Kim, Shelbi and Toby Cottingham.

Pat Harris and Anna Polk from Hope visited her parents, Bill and Lela Faye Ridling.

Statistics show that 10,000 people are killed by intoxicating liquor, whereas only one is killed by a mad dog. Yet we shoot the dog and license the liquor.
