The third anniversary of Sister Margie Mixon Dansby was held Saturday night, October 3, in the Oak Grove Civic Center banquet room. The theme was 'Let's Give God the Glory.' It was a grand affair and there was a packed house. New Hope choir led out singing One More Time. Emcee was Magic Man of Hope.

Oak Grove Baptist Church annual choir and usher day was held Sunday, October 4, with Rev. Chester Fort, pastor of Mt. Vernon A.M.E. Church, and guest choir, Mt. Vernon A.M.E. of Glenville. They really did sing good. Rev. Fort preached good. We had a good time with the Lord. President of the choir is Sister Onita Young and Usher president is Sister Annie Lowe.

Golden Crown Lodge No. 359 will observe its Star Day Sunday at Oak Grove Baptist church. Rev. E. Jenkins will bring the message, pastor of Whites Chapel A.M.E. Church. It starts at 7:00.

Sister Benora Box, W.M, and Brother De Willie Gulley, W.P., of Mt. Vernon A.M.E. Church are giving their pastor and wife an appreciation the second Sunday in October. Rev. J.W. McCraw, pastor of Pleasant Grove and Kendrick Chapel Baptist Church in Willisville, will bring the message.
