CaneyRuby WickerPublished Wednesday, October 7, 1998 in the Nevada County Picayune Ken Karmel came home from the hospital. He had bypass surgery last week. He is doing well. Several students from MBSF in Magnolia visited Morris Baptist Church Sunday evening and presented the evening service. Bro. Tal Webb visited the MBSF student union back in August. Chuck Hicks is doing okay, but will undergo surgery again in the near future. Charlotte Smith is home from Dallas. She had some treatments on her legs. The October birthdays will be celebrated at the home of Lucy Glass Sunday after church. This celebration was started by Warren and Lily Glass for all the kids, grandkids, cousins, aunts and uncles, and nieces and nephews. There were a lot of October birthdays. Ann Loe and I attended the Ladies Craft Club meeting Thursday afternoon at Bodcaw City Hall. Lucy Glass now has a new house. She had one moved in and the carpenters are busy putting on finishing touches. Bob and Charlotte Tinsley are visiting his parents in Weatherford, Texas. His father is diabetic and is feeling poorly. They returned home Monday. Ronnie an Gail Tucker had a visit from their new grandbaby, Austin Samuel Tucker, of Austin, Texas, last week. His mother, Mitzie, brought him for a visit while her parents were attending some business in Hope. Bro. Junior and Ann Loe visited with Raymond and Lena Autry of Troy, Friday. Bro. Raymond is in poor health. Junior and Ann went on to Camden and spent the night with daughter and son-in-law, Peggy and Don Fain. Bro. Tal, Christa, Lacy and Tessa Webb had lunch with Bro.
