DHS Honored At FairPublished Wednesday, October 14, 1998 in the Nevada County PicayuneThree Nevada County employees of the Department of Human Services, Division of Children and Family Services will be honored at the 1998 Arkansas State Fair. The fair is in session now and will continue through October 18 in Little Rock. A 'Wall of Heros' display will feature photos, names and years of services of each DCFS worker in Arkansas. Featured employees from Nevada County include Linda Goad, Barbara Keaton and Mark Robertson. "This is an excellent opportunity for the thousands of people who attend the fair each year to see the names and faces of DCFS employees who provide services throughout the state." Shelia Witherington, project coordinator from MidSOUTH at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, said. Adoption and foster parent information also will be distributed at the booth. Anyone interested in becoming involved with children who need help should contact the local DCFS office for information.
