Emmet Basketball SchedulePublished Wednesday, October 14, 1998 in the Nevada County PicayuneThe Emmet Eagles will start their 1998-99 basketball season on October 19 by hosting a junior high jamboree at the Ross Gym. Teams participating in the jamboree include Blevins, Saratoga, Springhill, Delight and Emmet. There will be two divisions junior girls and junior boys. Game time is 5:30 p.m. The Emmet Eagles will begin their regular season on October 20. The junior boys, senior girls and senior boys will play Kirby at the Ross Gymnasium beginning at 5:30. The schedule for the jamboree begins with the Blevins and Saratoga girls at 5:30; Blevins vs. Saratoga (boys) at 6:00; Springhill vs. Emmet (girls) at 6:30; Springhill vs. Emmet (boys) at 7:00; Delight vs. Emmet (girls) at 7:30 and Delight vs. Emmet (boys) at 8:00. The senior teams will participate in a jamboree at Ouachita, between Friendship and Donaldson in Hot Spring County, on October 17. The 1998-99 Emmet Eagles basketball schedule is as follows; an asterisk (*) indicates a conference game:
The Emmet junior teams will be playing in the Blevins Junior Invitational Tournament Dec. 1-4. The two senior teams will participate in the Genoa Senior Invitational Tournament December 7-11. January 4-8 all four teams will be involved in tourneys. The juniors will be involved in an invitational from Genoa and the seniors will be playing in one at Saratoga, the classic of southwest Arkansas.
