I can at last report to you that my electric blanket is on and I gotta say, "It feels good."

Gawyn Golden from Murfreesboro and Grant Golden from Hope visited their parents, George and Joy Cox, one day last week.

Doug and Peggy Burley from Kingwood, Texas, is spending several days with her mother, Thais McLelland.

Betty and Tim Wilson honored their son, Casey, a student at Ole Miss, on his 21st birthday at their home in Texarkana on Saturday. Those attending were Bill, Janet, Caroline and Charlotte Woodell from Pine Bluff; Laura McNeil from Mississippi, Chris and Ginger Meeks from Dallas, Margaret and J.D. Wilson from Hot Springs Village, Charity, Randy and Caleb Lowdermilk and papaw and LuLu from Prescott.

Neil's brother, Doyle, from Longview, Texas, is spending this week with Neil and me.

Debbie Bolls Whitlock, daughter of the late Fred and Thelma Bolls, now living in Washington State, is here visiting friends and relatives.

Toni and Peggy Cox from Camden spent several days with their grandparents, Pershing and Mary Cox. They treated them to the Prescott - De Queen ball game on Friday night and the girls were greatly impressed with the Prescott band, and carried some suggestions back to Camden. Congratulations to our band.

Billie Ridling was hostess to the Redland Home Extension Club last Monday. It was well attended and they enjoyed a potluck lunch and a day of visitation.

Mozelle Gill, resident of Hillcrest Care Center, was honored on Thursday with a birthday party at the home. I won't attempt to name those present, but it was hosted by her kids, Jackie, Carolyn, Norman and granddaughter, Cherrie.

Dean and Roxie Ann Moore Wessels from Olathe, Kan., recently visited in our community and enjoyed lunch at Maxine's with Betty Ann Stinson, Glenda Westmoreland and Mary Cox. Later they visited the Liberty Cemetery, where many of Roxie's relatives are buried. She is the daughter of the late Irbe Moore and Irbe is a brother of the late Lillie Beirne.
