Friends, neighbors and family members met at the old Glass house to celebrate the October birthdays of the Glass families. Seventy-seven people had potluck and enjoyed the Sunday afternoon.

Toney Overton called from Georgia Sunday, where he is serving in the military. He visited by phone with his mother, Barb Cornelius, his grandparents, J.W. and Maxine Glass, and other family members. All were really glad to hear from him.

Friends will be interested to hear Tom Cornelius of Nubbin Hill community and Barbara Morton were united in marriage Friday, October 2. We wish them the best of luck.

Little Leah McCullough celebrated her sixth birthday Sunday. Twenty-one guests helped her celebrate a very happy birthday.

Don and Peggy Fain of Camden, Sam and Jane Bradshaw and Jason and Sara Safrona Stokes of Jonesboro, Russell and Christi Stokes and Shannon and Kristi Stokes had supper with Junior and Ann Loe Saturday.

The Stokes families and Junior and Ann Loe all had lunch with Milton and Ruth Stokes Sunday after church. They all returned to their homes Sunday afternoon.

My daughters, Janice Callicott and Phyllis Stewart, had supper with Amy and Emily Sweat of McCaskill Saturday.

Billy Almand is on the ailing list this week. Hope she is felling better.

Kevin Karmel of Ft. Worth, Texas, visited his parents, Ken and Celia. Ken is already walking a mile after heart surgery.

Denis Hicks visited his parents and other relatives here last weekend.

Charlotte Smith left Monday for Dallas, where she will receive another treatment for 'lazy legs.'
