Golden OldiesDoris VancePublished Wednesday, October 14, 1998 in the Gurdon Times Eulah Wilson was awarded a plaque for Outstanding Volunteer for 1998, at a banquet at Henderson State University on Friday evening, October 9. Congratulations to Eulah. Tommy Rhodes is still helping us make crafts at the center. We really have some beautiful Christmas crafts. Stop by our booth at the Forest Festival and see what we have. Thanks again, Tommy. Blood pressure and flu shots will be given Thursday, October 15, at the Gurdon Senior Adult Center. The center will start issuing USDA commodities on Thursday, October 15. For more information, call 353-2095. The seniors will dine at Bowen's on Tuesday, October 20. Our prayers are still with those who are still not able to attend the center and also to those who have lost loved ones. The center is a United Way Agency. Ownership of all Nevada County Picayune content from the beginning of the newspaper, including predecessors, until May 2001 was contributed by the John and Betty Ragsdale family to the Prescott Community Freenet Association.
