HERMAN C. POOL

Memorial services for Herman C. Pool, 73, of Lake Cherokee, were held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, October 5 at the Trinity Baptist Church of Longview with Doctor Gary Orr officiating. Cremation arrangements were under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview. He died Saturday in a local hospital.

Mr. Pool was born September 1, 1925 in Alvarado, Texas and had been a resident of Lake Cherokee for the past three years, moving from Camden, Arkansas were he had been a long time resident. He was a retired carpenter and a former millwright for American Conveyor Co. in Burleson, Texas. He was an avid sportsman and a lover of nature. He was a Baptist.

Mr. Pool is survived by his wife, Nelagene Pool of Lake Cherokee; daughters and sons-in- law, Sandy and Hal Martin of Lake Cherokee and Jan and Donald Benson of Gurdon; brother and sister-in-law, Clayton and Druesilla Pool of Alvarado, Texas; eight grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
