Bug Collection Wins Blue RibbonPublished Wednesday, October 21, 1998 in the Gurdon TimesRobin Lemay, member of Clark County 4-H, received a first place ribbon for her insect collection at the Arkansas State Fair. Her collection is on display at the Museum of Discovery in Little Rock through the end of October. To enter a bug collection in the Arkansas State Fair, you must be enrolled in a 4-H entomology project. This is Miss Lemay's third year to have entomology as her main project. In order to receive a blue ribbon, the collection must be in the correct size box and there must be over 100 bugs. The bugs must be in good condition, neatly arranged in the box with all labels and uniform in height on pins. The bugs must have the correct common name and placed in their correct order.
