Mrs. Willie Hooks

The weather man is forecasting cooler weather and the wild geese are too. Willie and our son, Willie Hugh, saw wild geese going south last week.

Elsie Elmore has returned home after spending three weeks with her son, Malvern, and family of Winnsboro, Texas, and Joel Juanita Ridgell of Cumby, Texas.

We extend our sympathy to the family of Elizabeth House. She passed away last Sunday. She lived in Texas, but her body was brought back to Prescott for burial Wednesday. She has several relatives around Prescott.

Mary and Everett Orren visited L.V. Norris, a patient in a West Monroe, La., hospital, and his wife, Barbara, Monday and attended the funeral of Elizabeth House in Powderly, Texas, Tuesday. Billy and Reba House also attended her funeral.

Corine Hester and her daughter, Sharon Bolton, of Bainbridge, Ga., spent a few days visiting her sister-in-laws, Elsie Elmore and Willie Mae Wood, on Friday night. Approximately fifteen of the Wood and Elmore family honored their guest with a supper at the recreation hall of the Martin Apartments.

Danny Hooks of Panama is spending a few days with his mother, Cathrine Hooks, and his brother and sister this weekend. Hershel and Tommy Hooks and Danny are doing some deer hunting here near Prescott.

Donna Surles of Colorado and Jessie and Joey Jones of Hope visited Mae Blount Thursday.

Our son, Willie Hugh, spent a couple of days with us. The menfolk did a little squirrel hunting.

Katie Pittman and Sue Austin attended the Pittman family reunion last weekend near Ardmore, Okla. The reunion was well attended and the county was beautiful.

Kim Barr and her sister visited Katie Pittman and Sue Austin Sunday afternoon.

Some recent visitors of Chloe Orren were Bro. Larry Smith, grandson Robert Orren, Shorty Garner and her son Everett and his wife.

A thought: To dream of the person you would like to be is to waste the person you are.
