BodcawAline ClausPublished Wednesday, October 21, 1998 in the Nevada County Picayune Well, it is again time for deer season. We have bow and arrow, muzzle loader and rifle seasons and maybe more. I can't keep up with all of them. Chad, Brandi and little Wesley Butler were here this weekend visiting and deer hunting. J.D. and Marie Allen are home from Little Rock. J.D. had surgery at Baptist Hospital and seems to be doing well. Remember him and our sick as they recover. Ruby Vines and Morine Butler have been visiting daughter in Virginia and sister, Brenda, and her family. The Lynn Almands from Lake Charles, La., have been spending a few days here. He is doing some hunting. Bodcaw II had homecoming on Sunday. Bro. A.D. Livingston was the speaker and will be the evangelist for revival this week. Russ Carlton sang at Rosston in their revival on Friday night and he was also supposed to sing at Grand Pa's Place on Saturday night. Richard and Susan Miller of Idabel, Okla., and Sherry Lane, Heather and Josh of Greenwood visited Mom, Maudie Miller. She had all her family in church on Sunday. That included Geraldine and Leroy Campbell, Larry and Jeremy Kretz and Tim and Penny Campbell and family. Tillman and Myron Caudle visited Alvin Butler and attended homecoming. Earlene Butler attended baptism of little Hannah Hampton on Sunday night at Laneburg. Mary Joe Gregory is not feeling very well and is spending a few days with the Gary Goodwins. There will be a singing at Little Bodcaw at 7 p.m. on October 31. Come and enjoy a time of singing and fellowship. Curt and Mary Anna Dorman had a house full of company over the weekend. There were a lot of visiting and hunting. All other deer camps seemed to have plenty of activity around them. I am sure there is a lot of other news, but I didn't catch it.
