Arthur D. Loe

Arthur D. Loe, 77, of Fayetteville died Friday, October 23, at Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville.

Mr. Loe was born October 13, 1921, at Bodcaw, a son of Ben and Edith Baker Loe. He attended Bodcaw Schools, the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville, the University of Arkansas at Little Rock and Arizona State University. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Springdale. He had been a former resident of Little Rock for 17 years. He was an accountant and served as chief accountant for National Investors Life Insurance Company of Little Rock for many years. He moved to Phoenix, Ariz., in 1963, when the company established an office there. He later served as vice president of his own company, Investors United Life Insurance Company of Phoenix. Before his retirement he was the accountant in the Arizona Attorney General's office and the State Treasurer's office. He was an avid golfer and gardener.

Survivors include his wife, Ruth Hall Loe of Fayetteville; his six brothers, Frank, Herley and Arvis of Camden, Orris of Longview, Texas, Dalton of Prescott, and Hoyle of Birdsboro, Penn.; his sister, Betty Sue McClane of Camden; and several nieces and nephews whom he was very fond of.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, October 27, in the sanctuary of the First Baptist Church of Springdale with Dr. Ronnie Floyd, Dr. Gil Loe and Rev. Joe Dorman officiating. Burial was in Fairview Memorial Gardens Mausoleum in Fayetteville. Nephews served as pallbearers with the members of his Bible study class serving as honorary pallbearers.
