Esther Bryson Griffin

Esther Bryson Girffin, 91, of Prescott died Tuesday, October 20, 1998, in the Hillcrest Care and Rehab Center.

Mrs. Griffin was born on September 28, 1907, in the Redland community to James W. Bryson and Minnie Bryson. Before retirement, she was self-employed in retail fabrics, and had worked at the Fashion Center. Mrs. Griffin was a member of First Baptist Church in Prescott and Easter Star. She was preceded in death by her husband, James R. Griffin, in 1944 and Marie Beirne.

Survivors include one son, Bill Griffin of Prescott; two daughters, Pauline Griffin Hays of Prescott and Patsy Griffin of Statesboro, Ga.; one brother, Douglas Bryson of Chicago, Ill.; two sisters, Ida Eaves of Texarkana and Johnny Harbert of Shreveport, La.; nine grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.

Graveside services were Friday, October 23, at Liberty Cemetery with Father Rex Hays officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Shackelford Funeral Home of Prescott.
