She was buried on Friday in Liberty Cemetery. Betty and Roy Cagle recently visited his mother, Beulah Cagle, and his two sisters, Louise and Lola, in Dallas, Texas. Shady Grove Baptist Church began its revival with potluck lunch on Sunday. Our pastor's son, Andy Taylor, was home from college and he ate lunch with us. Poor Andy ate so much so fast he broke four plastic forks. Love you, Andy. Happy birthday to a dear friend, Kim Cottingham. My life was literally threatened if I told her age, so I just hope you have many more, Kim. Lisa, Kyle and Caley Pennington honored their husband and father with a birthday dinner on Friday night. His in-laws, George and Joy Cox, attended. Jim Ballard has returned from a four-day visit in New Iberia, La., with his daughter, Debbie, and visiting with old friends from Petroleum Helicopters, Inc. Jerry, Rhonda, Justin and Cole Hillery attended the South Central Arkansas Horseshow Association banquet in Arkadelphia on Saturday night. Justin and Cole were presented several awards for the points that were accumulated during the year. Kyle and Caley Pennington spent Saturday night with their grandparents, George and Joy Cox. Mike McClain from Houston, Texas, spent Saturday night with his sister, Billie Ridling. He also visited his mother, Willie McClain, at Hillcrest Care Center. Others visiting Billie were Johnny Ridling from Hot Springs and David, Lana, and Dillon Jennings from Donaldson. It was quiet a honor for Billie to have 22 of her family members attend church with her on Sunday. This thought was found in a church bulletin: Thursday at 4 p.m. there will be an ice cream social. All ladies giving milk please come early. Search | Nevada County Picayune by date | Gurdon Times by date |
